about the artist
Hi! I'm Llewelyn Wendi, a Japanese-American artist, and I've been drawing ever since I can remember. I've been a digital artist since 2018 when I made the switch over from traditional art via the popular drawing app ibisPaint X. This website showcases my art dating back to 2019, and will be used as a personal forum where I can look back at the art I've made as well as receive for inspiration for future drawings.
This is my family (of course I had to include a certain doggy). From top to bottom and left to right: My sister, dog, me, my dad, and my mom.
This is my dog Mochi. He's a four year old shorkie (shih tzu and yorkie), and is the cutest little dude. He enjoys eating human food and begging for love and attention.
A question and answer section about the website and some of its material as well as two short polls regarding additional questions and favorite drawings.
Q: What will the update schedule for this website look like?
A: I plan to update this website at least once a month.
Q: Are there any commissions?
A: Not at the moment. For now I'm just focusing on drawing in my spare time... maybe I'll have them in the future though.
Q: For the drawing suggestion forms will you actually draw what I ask?
A: Maybe. It depends on how I feel about the suggestion. I'll probably get around to doing most of them eventually. ;)
Q: What do you draw with?
A: The earlier drawings on this website were made using the app ibis Paint X on my phone, but I recently bought an iPad, so now I use Procreate and Illustrator.
Q: Where can I find the show corresponding to a specific fan art drawing?
A: If you'd like to know what shows any of my fan arts are from, feel free to email www.wendiworks.com.
Q: Where did you get the fabric for your sewing projects on the sew sew sew page?
A: I get all of the fabric for my sewing projects at Joann (the fabric and craft store). I would definitely recommend going there if there's one in your area. There are a bunch of cute patterns I love that I've gotten from it.
Q: How long does it take you to complete a drawing?
A: Generally, it takes me about four to six hours to complete a drawing.
Q: How often will you post speedpaints of your drawings?
A: Maybe once every two months or so. It depends, as it's a bit draining to have to make all of them into YouTube videos. Keep in mind that not all of the speedpaints made will be uploaded onto this website: Some of them will be posted exclusively on the Wendiworks YouTube channel.
Q: How often will you update the sew sew sew page?
A: Probably every few months. I don't sew that often.
Q: Do you sell stickers of the onions from the onion operation page?
A: Yes, I do. If you visit the shop page you'll see a button linked to my store. Right now two onion stickers are available, in addition to other related products.
Q: What do the "☆" symbols mean?
A: The star symbols represent the art that's featured on the Wendiworks YouTube channel (exclusive content).
Q: Where can I find the names of the onions on the onion operations page?
A: The names of the onions can be found through the video 'Meet the Onions' on the Wendiworks YouTube channel, which is also posted on the 'onions in the making' page of Wendiworks.
